Internet Content Filtering

Take control of your internet content without slowing your workstations and network down.

Delta Academy, along with recent alumni and friends, has developed a very effective hardware/software router solution for filtering web content; making web access suitable for all grades from K-12.  The system hardware and software may be remotely managed via any web connection, and all settings can be changed by a built-in graphical user interface.  Content is filtered by url files, content files and word/phrase files that are automatically downloaded and installed at preset intervals by the custom built Linux router.

If you have looked on the web for commercial packages, you may have discovered that some commercial software filtering solutions are licensed per machine and must be installed on each computer in the school.  Most software solutions slow down the performance of the workstations considerably, require updating and additional purchases from time to time and do not always work very well.  Our router caches recent web pages to insure optimum web speed, automatically updates files and filters and is not installed on any workstations on the school network; all software resides on the router.

Several companies on the web offer schools services  similar to the solution that we have put together and chosen to use.   Their packages include a fee for the hardware, a fee for each different element of the software, * a fee for the right to update files and * a per student fee for being able to use the service.  Our content filter solution is being made available to MPSA schools independently by Mr. Bo Jamison for a fraction of the cost of the commercially available packages.

It is time that you take control of your network content.

*  These fees are charged each year in advance by companies and can run from several hundred to several thousand dollars depending on the company and the number of students in the school subscribing.
