A GREAT "THANK YOU" TO ALL WHO HELPED IN LAST NIGHT'S AG DAY PROGRAM.  IT WAS THROUGH ALL OF YOUR EFFORTS THAT WE RAISED A RECORD AMOUNT.  THIS MONEY WILL GO TO YOUR ATHLETIC PROGRAMS.

BASEBALL SPRING TOURNAMENT HERE MONDAY AND TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK.  SCHOOLS PARTICIPATING ARE DELTA, DEER CREEK, NORTH SUNFLOWER, AND TUNICA.  COME OUT AND SUPPORT THE BASEBALL TEAM.

ELEMENTARY AND JUNIOR HIGH ACCELERATED READING PROGRAM

 

 

   DELTA ACADEMY IS PROUD OF ITS INVOLVEMENT WITH THE AR PROGRAM.  THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN A TERRIFIC TOOL FOR MOTIVATING OUR STUDENTS TO READ A VARIETY OF BOOKS, TO SET GOALS, AND TO REACH THESE GOALS!

  

ALONG WITH THE AR PROGRAM WE UTILIZE STAR READING WHICH HELPS US DIAGNOSE PROBLEM AREAS FOR EACH STUDENT AND WAYS TO IMPROVE THAT STUDENT'S READING LEVEL WHICH WILL IN TURN ENSURE HIS OR HER SUCCESS IN SCHOOL.

 

THE ELEMENTARY STUDENTS WILL CELEBRATE THEIR READING PROGRESS WITH A FUN DAY = OLYMPICS FIELD DAY!

 

 

   


 DRESS CODE

GRADES 7-12

BOYS:

Blue jeans, khakis, dress pants, and cargo pants are allowed.

Collared shirts must be worn everyday except Friday.  On Friday, boys may wear a collared shirt or a Delta Academy t-shirt. (Shirt with any kind of Delta Academy information).  Examples would be Homecoming, Christmas Dance, etc.

No torn, ripped frayed, or ragged trousers or shorts are allowed.

Boys may wear shorts.  No gym shorts are allowed.

Shirttails must be tucked in at all times.  With pants or shorts that have belt loops, a belt must be worn.

Bare feet are not acceptable.

Boys must be cleanly shaven.  No beards, mustaches, or goatees.  This applies to student athletes participating in sporting events during school holidays.

Tank tops, body shirts, or muscle shirts are not to be worn.

Caps/hats of any type will not be worn on campus until school is dismissed.

There should be no other writing on clothing other than brand names. (Exception: Delta Academy t-shirts.

No tattoos or body piercing.  This includes earrings.

Dress Code will be in effect during mid-term and final exams.

There will be NO Dress-up Day.

 

GIRLS:

Midriff tops, halter tops, halter dresses, and extremely short or tight skirts/skorts are not allowed.  Spaghetti straps are not to be worn.  Skirts/skorts may be no shorter than 4 inches above the crease in the back of the knee.

No torn, ripped frayed, or ragged clothing may be worn.

Girls may wear walking shorts.  Shorts must be hemmed to an appropriate length no higher than 4 inches above the crease in the back of the knee.  No gym shorts are allowed.

No t-shirts are allowed except on Fridays when Delta Academy t-shirts may be worn.

Leggings are not appropriate as outerwear.

Caps/hats of any type will not be worn on campus until school is dismissed in the afternoon.

There should be no other writing on clothing other than brand names. (Exception: Delta Academy t-shirts.)

No tattoos or body piercing. (Exception: a maximum of two earrings per ear may be worn)
