DELTA  SINGER  NEWS

As you may know, Ms. E. C. Chisholm had many complications from her recent surgery.  As a result of this, she will be unable to continue her leadership of the Choral Music Program and her classroom duties for this semester.  We have made "in house" arrangements to cover her areas of responsibilities until she returns.   Ms. Callie Self will be the faculty advisor and director of the Delta Singers with the able support of Ms. Carley Haynes.  Both of these young ladies are Delta Singer alumni, and will serve us well.

We will not be able to take the planned trip to Branson this year, but will continue to plan for our Annual Spring Show and Spring trips to area organizations. Parents who were planning to chaperone will be reimbursed any money that they have already paid. The students' fund-raising efforts toward the Branson trip will be transferred to their accounts for the 2012-13 school year.

Your cooperation, understanding, and support is greatly needed with this endeavor. The students involved have pledged to make this change in a "positive" manner and look forward to a successful Spring in Delta Singers. Thank you for your continued support of all the Delta Academy activities.

Any Delta Singer with chocolate out, please continue to sell the candy and give money to Ms. Beverly in the office.

P.S.  Additional information will follow as things arise throughout the semester. We may have a parents' meeting or mail a more detailed letter in the coming weeks.
